Open source shopping has never been easier. Open Cart provides an amazing interface along with some of the very best technology and PHP coding that I have ever seen. The shopping cart features, add on modules and user interface is intelligent, simple and works like a charm for people of all user levels even from the back end.


Open cart is an open source online shopping cart that is easy to use from installation to final product. The templates are easy to develop and configure. Templates are used for the backend as well giving you the chance to change those to whatever you like.

The software is perfect for online business of all sizes and even though it is still in early development stages, it still caters for Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing. Almost anyserver can run this software and it is developed to be small enough to run on even the least sof space requirements.

Open source has made a huge difference in the life of millions and proves to continue to show it’s power, flexibility and superiority over all else and this is no less true even on this system. There are so many open source systems that claim to be able to help and assist you with your online store but i still believe that this one is the winner from all that I have tried.

Configuring the backend to meet the needs of the user is also easy. It makes sense to use this system whether you are installing for yourself or for a client. Because it is released under the GPL, using it or installing it for a customer is okay.

The script is self installing and has documentation to assist you in all ways possible. Most open source applications prove to be difficult even for the seasoned user. Yet this one is completely opposite and shows everyone that open source does not have to be difficult.
